Ingredients of Navratan Korma

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 150 gm paneer
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup capsicum (green pepper)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon almonds
  • 4 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup potato
  • 1 cup bean
  • 1 cup carrot
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 2 medium onion
  • 2 tablespoon cashews
  • salt as required

How to make Navratan Korma

Step 1 Chop the veggies,

Firstly, place the potatoes, beans, capsicum and carrots over a chopping board and chop them. Then, grate onions using a grater and also cut paneer into cubes. Next, place a saucepan over medium flame and pour oil in it. Once the oil is heated, add almonds and cashews into it. Cook until they turn brown in colour.

Step 2 Add grated onions & ginger-garlic pasteNow,

add grated onions and mix them well. Cook until they turn soft. Then, add garlic paste, ginger paste and stir well for a minute.

Then add tomato puree, cayenne pepper, turmeric, coriander powder and garam masala into the pan and mix again.

Step 4 Add water and veggiesNow, pour water into the pan and add raisins, carrots, capsicum, beans, potatoes and peas into the pan. Mix them well. Bring the mixture to a boil. Cook the mixture for 20-25 minutes on low flame. On the other hand, place a frying pan over medium flame and pour oil in it. Add paneer cubes into the pan and cook the paneer until golden brown in colour. Place tissues over a plate and transfer the fried paneer onto the plate. Drain the excessive oil.

Step 5 Add milk & cream & cook the Navratan Korma on low flameNow, add fried paneer cubes into the saucepan and pour milk and cream. Mix all the ingredients well. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 4-5 minutes. Sprinkle salt and serve your Navratan Korma hot.

Tips

  1. You can garnish the navratan korma with pomegranate seeds.
  2. You can also add almonds and melon seeds to the navratan korma base.
  3. Feel free to make a puree of fried onions, almonds, cashews etc.
